The Au Chair is inspired from the Chinese character 凹, meaning concave. This element is shown on the front and back of the chair. A clean and light look is achieved by making the seat hollow. The Au chair is designed for offices that have waiting rooms, allowing the hollow portion of the chair to be used for magazine storage. A sense of unity is achieved by assembling the few parts in a harmonious manner while embracing sustainability. The stainless steel frame, recycled from previous industrial use, and durable Cedar material ensures a long use for each chair. Rubberized stoppers on the the steel frames are made from tires. |
