The concept behind this piece was the idea of hovering, a process by which an object is suspended above the ground against gravity. The chair is designed with comfort in mind, while still creating a fun illusion that the user is floating above the bent wood frame of the structure.
The seat itself is made from an ultra clear acrylic resin that creates an almost bubble-like appearance, encasing the frame and creating a plane on which to sit. The acrylic, as needed, can be formed to fit any body type to create ultimate comfort for any buyer.
The acrylic encasement creates a void between the user and the frame of the chair creating a fun and unique piece which is both eye catching and stimulating to sit upon. |
