Regeneration is defined as the act of bringing something back to life or back to the public attention. This definition is two folded within this products concept. First, the chair was inspired by the designs of 1950’s era and bringing such classics back to the public’s attention in a new manner. Secondly, with the current attention on sustainability and recycling, the materials become a regeneration of wood, fiberglass and metals. Inevitably, giving these chosen materials and the classic design ideation a new life. The ergonomics of the shell have been factored into the form while balanced out with the wood platform that gives not only structural strength but also acts as a shelving area. |
